Although I love to attend parties with my kids, I also love to see them enjoy all the surprises and fun times with their friends; but I have to admit that I am not the best at planning those parties and when it comes to that I am a last minute kinda gal.

For my daughter’s 3rd birthday party last weekend, I not only waited until 2 days before the party to get things going but I was picking up items right until the very morning.

Here is my guide to a great kid’s party right on budget:

  • Since I am not a great cook and I really prefer spending my time enjoying the party. I used my local supermarket’s kid friendly catering service to get my goodies
  • I am fortunate enough to have a sister who is a pastry chef, so we had princess cupcake galore; but most pastry shops could give you a very quick turnaround time and beautiful looking and tasting cakes or cupcakes
  • I also enlisted the help of a friend to take care of the games and other entertainment for the kids.

And voilà, it’s a party! Don’t forget to put out bowls of your kid’s favourite In Snax pita crisps!
