It’s that time of year again. That moment we all love to go apple picking with our family and friends. However, every time it’s the same story, we always come back home with those 2 extra bags of apples. As much as I love cooking apple pies, jams or all other types of recipes, I always get stuck with a bag full of apples. Now, I was wondering what I could do with those cute apples without wasting them and once again, the internet came through with some inspiration! I thought of transforming them into apple candles. It’s simple to do and at a very low cost. If you feel a little creative you can also try this idea with pears, oranges and more. Your guests will love the smell and the look of it.

  • 1 apple per candle
  • 1 tea light candle
  • 1 pairing knife

  1. Place the candle on top of the apple to measure the hole you are going to cut
  2. Cut a hole in the center of your apple the size and depth of your candle
  3. Place the candle in the middle of the apple
  4. Make sure that the bottom of the apple is flat so that it stays stable
